Privacy Policy

Effective [Month Day, Year] · Last updated [Month Day, Year]

This Privacy Policy explains how Cordiv LLC (“Cordiv,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares and protects information when you visit or use RetireYourTub.com and any related pages, forms and services (together, the “Site”). By using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy. Please also read our Terms of Use, which govern your use of the Site.

If you have a disability and need this policy in another format, contact us using the information in Section 15.

1. Who We Are and What We Do

RetireYourTub.com is operated by Cordiv LLC, [Mailing Address], [City, State ZIP].

RetireYourTub.com is a free service that helps homeowners learn about tub-to-shower conversions, walk-in showers, walk-in tubs and related bathroom projects, and connects them with independent home improvement companies and the marketing companies that work with them (our “Partners,” described in Section 4). We are not a contractor, and we do not perform installation or remodeling work. When you request an estimate, we share your information with one or more Partners so they can contact you about your project.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide to us

When you use our estimator or contact us, you may provide:

  • Contact information: your first and last name, email address and mobile phone number.
  • Location information: your ZIP code. We look up the city and state for that ZIP code.
  • Project information: your answers to our questions, such as what is in your bathroom now, whether you would like a walk-in shower or walk-in tub, the features you are interested in (for example, a built-in seat, grab bars, a handheld shower, glass doors or a non-slip floor), your timeline, your type of home and whether you own or rent it.
  • Communications: information you include when you contact us by email, phone, text or mail.
  • Privacy requests: information you give us when you submit a request on our Your Privacy Choices page or otherwise exercise your rights.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect:

  • Device and usage information: your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, pages viewed, links clicked, the date and time of your visit, the page that referred you to the Site, and how you interact with our pages and forms.
  • Approximate location: your general location (such as ZIP code, city and state), inferred from your IP address by our hosting provider. We use it to pre-fill your ZIP code and show information relevant to your area. We do not collect precise GPS location.
  • Advertising and campaign information: information about the ad or link that brought you to the Site, such as campaign parameters and advertising click identifiers.
  • Security and bot detection: technical signals about your browser and device, collected by our hosting provider’s bot protection, to tell people from automated traffic and block fraudulent submissions.
  • Analytics and session replay: records of how you use the Site, which may include session replays that reproduce the pages you viewed and your clicks, scrolling and mouse movements. We configure session replay to mask the text you type into form fields.
  • Form interaction and consent records: as described in Section 7, we use services that record how you interact with our forms, including your keystrokes, clicks and the disclosures shown to you, to create a verifiable record of your request and consent.
  • Phone verification records: when you ask us to send a verification code, the phone number, the time, and whether we sent it by text or voice call.

Information from third parties

We may receive information from:

  • Messaging providers that deliver our verification codes, such as whether a text or call was delivered.
  • Consent verification and fraud prevention providers, such as certificates that document your session and signals that help us detect automated, duplicate or fraudulent submissions.
  • Partners, such as whether they accepted your request, what they paid us for it, whether they were able to contact you, or whether they completed your project.
  • Advertising platforms, such as reports about how our ads performed.

Information we do not seek

We do not ask for, and ask that you do not submit, Social Security numbers, financial account or payment card numbers, or health or medical information. Your answers about bathroom features describe the project you want. We do not use them to infer anything about your health.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • provide the Site and our estimator, including showing estimated price ranges and information relevant to your area;
  • decide which Partners may be able to help with your project, and share your request with them so they can contact you, as described in Section 4;
  • verify your phone number and confirm your request and consent;
  • communicate with you about your request, including by phone, text message and email, as described in Section 6;
  • keep records of your request and consent, including to comply with laws such as the Telephone Consumer Protection Act;
  • detect, prevent and respond to fraud, bots, spam, security incidents and misuse;
  • measure and improve the Site, our forms and our advertising, including understanding which pages and campaigns are effective;
  • comply with legal obligations, honor your privacy choices, enforce our Terms of Use, and protect our rights and the rights of others; and
  • carry out any other purpose we describe to you when we collect the information, or with your consent.

We may also create aggregated or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify you and use it for any lawful purpose. We will not try to re-identify de-identified information, except as permitted by law.

4. How We Share Information

With our Partners, at your request

When you submit a request through our estimator, you direct us to share your name, email address, phone number, ZIP code, city and state, project information and consent record with our Partners so they can contact you about your project. “Partners” means:

  • home improvement companies, contractors, dealers and installers that offer tub-to-shower conversions, walk-in showers, walk-in tubs and related bathroom products and services; and
  • marketing companies, lead marketplaces and networks that connect homeowners with those companies, which may in turn share your request with home improvement companies in their own networks, as your consent and applicable law allow.

How matching works. Depending on your location and project, we may offer your request to one Partner or to several, at the same time or one after another, until one or more Partners accept it. Before sharing your full request, we may share limited details that do not include your name or contact information, such as your ZIP code, project type and timeline, so a Partner can tell us whether it serves your area. Once a Partner accepts, we share your full request with that Partner. We cannot guarantee that any Partner will accept your request or contact you.

A current list of Partners that may receive your request is on our Partners page. Partners use your information under their own privacy policies, not this one, and we are not responsible for their practices. We encourage you to review a Partner’s privacy policy when it contacts you.

With service providers

We share information with companies that perform services for us, such as website hosting and infrastructure, database hosting, text message and voice call delivery for verification codes, customer relationship and lead management, consent verification, fraud prevention, analytics, ZIP code lookup, customer communications and advertising. Service providers may use the information only to perform services for us, except that consent verification providers may also use it as described in Section 7.

With advertising partners

We use advertising platforms, such as Meta, to measure and improve our advertising. These platforms may receive information about your visit and your actions on the Site, as described in Section 7. We do not send your answers about bathroom features to advertising platforms.

For legal reasons

We may disclose information if we believe it is reasonably necessary to comply with law, regulation, legal process or a government request; to enforce our Terms of Use; to defend against legal claims; or to protect the rights, property or safety of Cordiv, our users, our Partners or others. This includes providing records of your request and consent to a Partner or a court when needed to show that you agreed to be contacted.

In a business transfer

If Cordiv is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets or similar transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Privacy Policy.

With your consent

We may share information for other purposes with your consent or at your direction.

5. Selling and Sharing of Personal Information

Because we provide your information to Partners in connection with your request, and because Partners may pay us, some state laws may treat these disclosures as a “sale” of personal information. Our use of advertising technologies may also be considered “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising, or “targeted advertising,” under some state laws. You can opt out on our Your Privacy Choices page. See Section 13 for your rights.

6. Phone Calls, Text Messages and Email

Your consent

When you click the button on our form after the consent disclosure, you agree that Cordiv and the Partners listed on our Partners page may contact you at the phone number you provide about your request and related home improvement products and services, including through calls and text messages that may use automated technology, artificial or prerecorded voices, or AI-generated voices, even if your number is on a federal, state or company Do Not Call list. Your consent is not a condition of buying any goods or services. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies.

Verification codes

When you ask for a verification code, we send it by text message or, if you choose, by automated voice call. These messages confirm your number and are not marketing.

How to opt out

  • Text messages: reply STOP to any text message to stop texts from that sender. Reply HELP for help.
  • Calls: tell the caller you no longer wish to be contacted, or contact us using the information in Section 15.
  • Email: click the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.

You may revoke your consent at any time by any reasonable means. Because Partners contact you directly, you may also need to opt out with each Partner separately. If you contact us, we will stop our own calls and texts, record your request, and use reasonable efforts to tell the Partners that received your request.

Call recording

We and our Partners may monitor or record calls for quality, training and compliance purposes, as permitted by law. Where required, the caller will tell you at the start of the call.

Accuracy of your number

Please provide only a phone number that you own or are authorized to use. If your number changes or you stop using it, please let us know so we can stop contacting it.

7. Cookies, Analytics, Advertising and Form Recording

Cookies and similar technologies

We and our service providers use cookies, pixels, tags, local storage and similar technologies to operate the Site, measure performance, prevent fraud, and measure and improve our advertising. For example:

  • Local storage on your device saves your answers as you go, so a refresh does not lose your progress. After you submit your request, we delete your contact details from it and keep only what is needed to show your estimate, such as your first name, city and price range.
  • A temporary cookie lets us check your verification code. It expires after 15 minutes.
  • A first-party cookie remembers the ad or campaign that brought you to the Site for 30 days, so we can tell which ads lead to requests.
  • First-party advertising cookies (_fbp and _fbc) store a browser identifier and, if you arrived from a Meta ad, its click identifier, for up to 90 days.

Analytics

We use PostHog to understand how visitors use the Site and where they leave our forms, so we can improve them. PostHog may use cookies and similar technologies, and may record session replays as described in Section 2.

Advertising

We use the Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API, which allow Meta to collect or receive information about your visit and actions on the Site (such as viewing a page or submitting a request), including your IP address, browser information, advertising identifiers and, when you submit a request, hashed (encoded) versions of your contact details, such as your email address, phone number, name, city, state and ZIP code. Later, if your request is qualified, leads to an appointment, or is accepted by a Partner, we may tell Meta that it happened, with the same hashed identifiers and, for an accepted request, the amount we were paid. We use this to measure and improve our advertising, including ads shown to you on other websites and apps. If you have opted out, we limit this use as described under “Your choices” below. Meta’s use of this information is governed by Meta’s own policies, and you can manage how Meta uses it in your Meta account’s ad settings.

Form interaction and consent recording

We use consent verification services, ActiveProspect’s TrustedForm and Verisk’s Jornaya, that capture and record your interactions with our pages and forms from the time the page loads, including your keystrokes, clicks, mouse movements, scrolling, the information you enter, and the text and disclosures displayed to you, along with your IP address, device and browser information, and the date and time. We use these records to verify your request and consent, prevent fraud, and meet our legal obligations, and we may share them with Partners and as required by law. These providers may also use this information as described in their own privacy policies, for example to keep consent records and detect fraud across the websites that use their services. By using the Site, you consent to this recording.

Your choices

  • You can set your browser to block or delete cookies and local storage. Some features of the Site, such as saving your progress or verifying your phone number, may not work properly without them.
  • We treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information associated with that browser, as applicable law requires. We detect the signal both in your browser and on our servers. When we detect it, or when you opt out on our Your Privacy Choices page, we instruct Meta to process information from that browser under its Limited Data Use setting, which Meta applies based on your location where state privacy laws require, so the information is used to measure our ads but not for targeted advertising. We also record the signal with any request you submit, so it is not resold beyond the Partners you asked us to share it with. A GPC signal does not stop us from sharing a request you choose to submit with those Partners, because you are asking us to do so.
  • Some browsers send “Do Not Track” signals. Because there is no common standard for responding to them, we do not respond to them, other than GPC as described above.

8. How Long We Keep Information

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. Specifically:

  • Request and consent records, including your contact and project information, consent recordings, the consent disclosure you saw, and verification records: five (5) years from the date of your request, because they may be needed to show compliance with telemarketing and consumer protection laws.
  • Opt-out and do-not-contact records: for as long as needed to honor your request.
  • Privacy request records: at least 24 months, as required by law.
  • Analytics data: up to 25 months. Session replays: up to 90 days.
  • Progress saved in your browser: until you submit your request or clear your browser storage.

When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

9. How We Protect Information

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children’s Privacy

The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Third-Party Websites

The Site may link to websites or services operated by others, including Partners. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, and your use of them is governed by their own policies.

12. Location of Processing

The Site is intended for residents of the United States, and information is stored and processed in the United States.

13. Your Privacy Rights

Rights available to everyone

Wherever you live, you may:

  • opt out of calls, texts and marketing emails as described in Section 6;
  • opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information on our Your Privacy Choices page; and
  • ask us to delete your contact information from our active records by contacting us. We will keep a record of your request so we can honor it, and we will keep consent and compliance records as described in Section 8.

  • Right to delete: to request deletion of personal information we collected from or about you.
  • Right to correct: to request that we correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to portability: to receive your personal information in a portable format.
  • Right to opt out: of the sale of your personal information, the sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and targeted advertising.
